ASCP Leadership

“The test of our worth is the service we render.”
– Theodore Roosevelt

The ASCP Board of Directors serves as the Society’s primary leader with responsibility for the organization’s governance. Additionally, the Board determines the direction of the Society, which enables us to achieve our goals and objectives.

ASCP is structured so its major programs, products and services are integrated and organized efficiently. Governance is provided through five Commissions: Membership (with its Councils of Fellows, Associates and Residents), Education, Publications, Assessment, and Public Policy. Each Commission is charged with developing and monitoring the overall strategy of ASCP relating to the Commission’s specific area, and reporting back to the Board of Directors.

ASCP committees comprise the most talented, devoted and professional volunteers in the fields of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. It is through our volunteers that we are able to provide the scope of high quality programs, products and services that result in ASCP being recognized as one of the most respected societies in the profession.
