As ASCP’s participation in international laboratory training increases, so does our need for qualified and dedicated laboratorians and physicians.
The Institute for Research and Development is seeking ASCP members to serve as consultants for the ASCP- PEPFAR initiative. Jobs include participating in Work Groups to develop training materials, assessing and evaluating current situations in African nations, and serving as laboratory trainers specializing in Hematology, Chemistry or CD4 testing.
Ultimately this program will serve to enhance laboratory testing practices and enhance the quality of laboratory testing services in order to improve the effectiveness of HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services and interventions.
Time commitments vary and may be short term (one to two weeks), mid term (one to three months) or long term (one year).
Please review the job description below. If you remain interested in the possibility of contributing to ASCP's efforts, please review and complete the linked forms (including a “Character Reference” to be filled out and returned by a colleague or supervisor). Please fax/e-mail all completed forms to Beth Schumacher at (312) 541-4998 or pepfar@ascp.org.
